Some people call them "black & white" cookies. We call them YUMMY.

325/365 drawing of my dad
Years ago my dad was in the diner and a woman drew his picture on a napkin and gave it to him. My sisters have it framed in their dining room. It looks just like him, even through it is of his back and just a hint of his face.
321/365 Diesel & Feezle inside the dead tree
I'm still suffering because of this picture. I lost my balance right after taking this picture and couldn't catch myself because of having the camera in one hand and the boys in the other. The stone wall broke my fall and you should see the ENORMOUS bruise on my butt. Oh my achin' ass...

317/365 bunny close-up
A little wooden bunny, one of four tucked inside a wooden egg with more bunnies painted on the outside. Just a little item that I found years ago.
316/365 velcro
It was the end of the day and I need a picture and I tried to take a photo of the velcro on my camera case. This interesting shot gives no indication that this was velcro, but it is kinda cool.
315/365 In Remembrance
11/11/10 My friend Danelle sent me the cross/poppy from England so we thought it appropriate to use it for today'a photo. We also always share the poem "In Flander's Field"
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
314/365 Moose in his prime
Moosie is now almost 16 and showing his age. He's thin, has chronic sinusitis, is hyperthyroid and has developed heart arrythmia. We've had "that" discussion, but since he is still eating, still leaping up on his tower with ease and still greeting us, we are going to let him tell us when. He is confined to one room, mainly because of Casper and because he isn't always the best at using the cat box any longer. He was always a solitary cat, not the type to sit in your lap, that was Mouse, but I still feel a bit bad. We spend time with him over the course of the day. He doesn't take care of his coat so when we were on vacation, they body-clipped him at the vets and we try to keep up with it in the shorter stage. He loves the grooming if you don't hold him, which can make it tricky, but we get it done. We finish with a once over with the vacuum which he seems to love. The nail clipping part isn't his favorite, but I've been doing it since he was a kitten so he tolerates it. This is one of my favorite pictures of him, looking very regal. (He is a purebred Norwegian Forest Cat.)

311/365
Flying without wings. I got my big horse fix for the year with three days at the Syracuse Invitational Sport Horse tournament.
310/365 Let sleeping bullys lie
I found this cool little sleeping bull terrier when I was on Etsy. Also from the same seller a bull terrier magnet. The magnet was identical to a tile on a cork board that I got years ago from a bull terrier website. I emailed the artist and she said she had done the cork boards awhile back and now just had the shop on Etsy. I'm going to be keeping an eye on her stuff...
308/365 A sign of whats to come
It's raining in the picture, but it has already snowed. I was staying at the farm for a few days and noticed that David had put the snowblower on the tractor. I'll need to dig out my snowblower instructions!

301/365 milkweed
When we were kids, we used to call the floating fluff "Santa Claus's" and if you could catch one, you made a wish and let it go.
300/365 taken through the vase
Just as an experiment, I put the camera inside a glass vase and took this picture.
