On the road to the farm
Our first snow, but it only seemed to happen at the farm which is at a slightly higher elevation. Just raining down in town.

feathers find me
You can see how tiny this feather is. I found it on a wet, dark brown boardwalk at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. You can imagine how much it blended in, but I still spotted it. This has been an amazing summer of feather finds. Because of my cancer surgery and treatment, I was home for most of the summer and many days never left. But I always went outside for a bit to get some fresh air and to bemoan the fact that no gardening was getting done. And over the course of the summer I found probably 7 or 8 Blue Jay feathers. I never actively looked--they were just where I happened to be looking. I took it as a sign that my guardian angel was indeed sticking close and doing her job. :-)

felted creations
We went to a fiber festival today. It was a fundraiser for a local theater. I didn't find any yarn for myself, but it was fun and colorful!
well
I have been absent here for a long time. I just looked through many of these photos and decided that I needed to start adding photos again, need to be creative again. The last year has had it's share of sorrow for me, having lost my beloved Casper and having been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. But many good things happened too, and I have made some new friends, so life does indeed go on.

The procrastinator is back
After finishing last years one photo a day, I went back to my slacker ways. I tried another 365 with B9, but life got in the way, as it sometimes does and I just decided to not put myself through it. I'm still taking pictures and there is no reason not to pop one in here, so here I am. This is a display from a garden tour we went on a week or so ago. The garden it was in was stunning.
