I'm a notorious procrastinator. Can I really stick to the project? Can I post one photo a day for 365 days? The pressure is almost unbearable.

(I DID IT! I stuck to the original project and in 2010 I took two photographs every day, for two different groups! I'm going to continue to add 365 photos per year to this blog, but they probably will not be taken on consecutive days. That is too much to ask...)

First, especially for Louise...

I was out in the garden today and heard a rustling sound and looked down and saw this little snake. I *think* it is an eastern Garter snake but I'm not sure. Most of the garter snakes I have seen (and ICK!--removed from my house) have been darker in color. But I checked a couple of websites and it sort of looks like some of the photos of garter snakes. Anyway, it was very photogenic and quite tolerant of me photographing it.

I walk through the woodland every afternoon looking to see what is coming up and thinking I really ought to do some WORK. Maybe over the weekend...

I'm pretty proud of myself since I am almost halfway through my reading challenge for the year in month 4, so I'm way ahead of schedule. This is book #20, which I started yesterday. This gives me hope that I will be able to Squeeze in The Rebels of Ireland which is 850+ pages without getting too much off schedule. I'm trying to devote more time to reading and less time on the computer, which I think I am doing. We'll see what happens when garden season gets here, I may lose my head start. LOL

Happy Easter all! The boys are lounging in a bowl full of Cadbur Mini Eggs. I think I'll send Butch to the store tomorrow to see if he can score anymore before they go away.

We had a family get together and even if we were missing a lot of people, the ones who were there made up for the ones who weren't. And it was SO nice to have Mike & Emily there this year. It's good to have them home. Good food, good libations, lots of laughs and three generations of Quinlans. It doesn't get much better than that.
