I'm a notorious procrastinator. Can I really stick to the project? Can I post one photo a day for 365 days? The pressure is almost unbearable.

(I DID IT! I stuck to the original project and in 2010 I took two photographs every day, for two different groups! I'm going to continue to add 365 photos per year to this blog, but they probably will not be taken on consecutive days. That is too much to ask...)

I always try to think outside the box. We have been talking about repainting our sunporch and we were in Value Home Center and I noticed that the Pratt & Lambert paint display had these postcard like color cards and I immediately knew I could use them as photo props. Bingo! Just the right colors for the 'Bobs.

More garden pix. Better get used to that! This is an sport off of a variegated sedum I have. There seemsto be a total lack of color, so I don't suppose it will last long but it is kind of interesting.

Almost my whole front "yard" is vinca. It was that way when I bought this house and I love it. There is a little tiny patch of grass, a whole lot of vinca and a foundation plantings. "Mowing the lawn" out front takes about 30 seconds. It has such a pretty flower.

I used to have big drifts of trilliums and I don't know why I don't anymore except that the neighbors cut down a lot of trees. I do have several small patches of the red trillium, also known as "Stinking Benjamin". I guess they smell rather awful. I don't really care to find out. :-)

I'm adding this picture here because I think it is just too cute to not share it. Since Rhiney is going to LA, even though he may not be going to New Orleans, I had to use the little accordian somehow. It was just his size.

We had a good day. Went to the farm in the morning, stopped and got paint chips and discussed painting the sunporch, puttered a little, read a little and went to an early dinner at Dinosaur BarBQue in Syracuse. It was delicious, as usual. The perfect ending to a very nice weekend.

100/365

Today is a milestone for the flickr groups that started on January 1. Day 100. We celebrated with a puppet show for the group. PhiPhi Phlegmingo is a little finger puppet that I got at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology store and she first perfectly on Kenneth, so he became the puppeteer. I'm so glad that the real Kenneths person doesn't mind me using a Ken Clone in my photos. Rhiney the world traveler is sitting right up front.

We went to dinner last night and I just wasn't up to getting back on-line so I'm doing a twofer today. It's early AM now and I have been listening to and watching the birds at my feeders. Tons of Goldfinches, the Cardinal pair who must have a nest nearby, two Carolina Wrens who seemed to be having an argument, there was much fluffing and tail fanning going on, two grey squirrels chasing each other, an occasional Chickadee or tufted Titmouse and a Hairy Woodpecker. So far.

I get a tiny hint of color from the Pulmonaria (above) and my daffodils. Who cares if there is snow in the forecast...

I love my wooden shoes. I have had them for so long, over 25 years and they are the absolute perfect garden shoe. Your feet don't get cold or wet and they sound much like horses hooves when you are on a hard surface. You definitely can't sneak up on people when you are wearing them.
